OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Working under the direction of the Director and Manager of Corporate Risk and Clinical Compliance, this individual is responsible for supporting an integrated and comprehensive clinical compliance program. The Clinical Compliance Coordinator is the first line reviewer for potential clinical compliance issues including, but not limited to, HEIDIS Standards, mortality, clinic screening indicators, physician peer review and focus studies.
As the Clinical Compliance Coordinator, this individual will participate in detailed review of medical records and processes the clinical assessments and mandated regulatory compliance.
As a Coordinator, this individual will support various physician committees, peer review and the quality reappointment processes with data aggregation.
This individual will support clinical process improvement projects and generate necessary reports. This position further supports data reporting processes and assists in various Clinical Compliance initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
Level of knowledge normally acquired through the clinical practice and a current license in the State of Nevada as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare within an ambulatory care setting preferred.
Previous experience in quality review is preferred.
Knowledge of Clinical Compliance and Risk theory and statistics, leading teams or facilitating groups preferred.
Working knowledge in computers, programs, data bases and spreadsheets; (i.e. Excel, Word, Power-point)
