The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an examiner for their Large Complex Banking Organization (LCBO) Unit in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit Department.  This position is for an Operational Risk / Information Technology (IT) risk coordinator on the Bank of America (BAC) supervisory team and will be located in Charlotte, NC.  The successful candidate will support development and execution of the Federal Reserve’s supervisory program for Operational / IT risk at BAC.  This individual will analyze internal reports, conduct discussions with institution management, review industry information, research risk topics affecting the financial services industry and conduct examinations and ongoing reviews.
 
The role requires expertise in IT risk measurement and management practices.  Knowledge in broader operational risk management issues including fraud, payment and settlement systems, accounting and financial controls, internal audit, mergers and acquisitions, supplier management, change management, and Basel II Advanced Measurement Approach standards are also important for this position.
 
Responsibilities will also include the execution of continuous monitoring programs, target inspection activity, and related industry surveillance as well as acquiring a peer perspective, being involved in related policy and guidance discussions. In support of monitoring the financial stability of the firm, this individual may perform regular in-house analysis of institutional Operational/IT risk profiles, encompassing production of ad-hoc written research, regular risk reports, and periodic presentations to Reserve Bank colleagues.  The individual must be able to work under minimal supervision.
 
An important requirement of this position is effectiveness in initiating and maintaining communication and information flow with supervised institutions and other regulators.  Written and oral communications must be high quality, concise, conclusion oriented, well-supported and consistent with regulatory standards and established industry practices.  Additionally, the ability to foster good working relationships with several stakeholders in the Federal Reserve System is of great importance.

As a Personal Banker, you will devote much of your day to building long term relationships with our customers' in person and by phone. You will deepen the understanding of our customers' financial needs and provide suggestions. While most of the job is performed in the stores, Bankers reach out into the community by placing outbound phone calls to existing clients, visiting businesses, conducting educational seminars, and being active in the community.

*This position supports both the Trust and Investment Group. The job duties are listed as follows: Assistance with the Trust group - Duties will include:   Teamed with a Trust Administrator in providing client services. Primary contact in the absence of the account administrator. Proficient with administrative technician responsibilities. Various non-routine administrative support functions teamed with account administrator/s to provide client service. Limited discretion in making decisions involving individual trust accounts. Signing authority up to $5000 for disbursements and can make recommendations to the account officer over this limit. Proactive & reactive contacts with assigned clientele base for routine requests as well as crisis resolutions and problem solving. Inputting trade orders accurately; within the specific time frames; providing available funds in account to meet trust agreement objectives. Verifying correct posting in accounts. Execute procedures to open/close/transfer accounts; collect assets from brokers or outside institutions, setting up assets cost basis on system. Handle requests for registration of securities with follow-up memo. Assembles & reviews all required materials for, and may attend formal trust reviews with the Administrative officer. Interacts with appropriate service departments to obtain needed information or request that action be taken. Follow up to ensure processes are completed in a timely manner. Assist in special projects as assigned. Attend departmental training and applicable Corporate HR educational curriculum. Telephone coverage within the unit as needed.   Assistance with the Investment group - Duties will include:   Assist the portfolio manger in the management of accounts of all types (investment management agencies, trusts, estates, guardianships, and foundations). Set up investment files as accounts are opened and manage documentation as directed. Assist in mailing investment recommendations provided by the portfolio manager on accounts requiring approvals, keep a suspense file until a response is received, and send follow up reminders as needed. Accurately enter trade orders according to company trading procedures as directed by the portfolio manager, follow the trades until completion and settlement, maintain records documenting trades as required. Record notes online as required to document Reg 9 meetings and trades. Prepare standard presentations for client meetings as directed by the portfolio manager, in advance of the meeting dates. Handle phone calls that may come in to the branch for the portfolio manager and direct calls to other appropriate areas to assist the overall branch efficiency. Handle projects such as mailing economic and investment letters to clients, help to maintain the client address and phone roster for trust mailings, assist in maintaining staff calendars for the branch.
